Our Story
Il Viaggio 1935 was born from a love of family, food and the places that shaped us. Inspired by my Grandmom, born in 1935, and our travels through Tuscany and Sicily, this deli is a tribute to tradition, simple ingredients and the extraordinary way a sandwich can bring people together.

A taste of the journey
Prosciutto Toscano DOP, pecorino cream, fig spread, arugula.

Before your first bite
We are not recreating a traditional Philadelphia or South Jersey hoagie. Our schiacciata is the foundation — not simply something holding the sandwich together.
Meats are sliced thin. Cheeses, vegetables, creams and oils are carefully portioned. We seek out Italian and traditionally produced ingredients chosen for quality, provenance and character.
More isn’t always better. Beautiful ingredients should never disappear beneath a mountain of toppings. A sandwich doesn’t have to be enormous to take you somewhere.
